How a Telugu Pelli Patrika Is Structured
Traditional Telugu wedding invitations follow an order that elders recognise instantly. Keeping this order makes your card feel authentic, whether it is printed or shared as a PDF on WhatsApp.
- Invocation — Sri Rastu Subhamastu Avighnamastu, often with an image of Lord Venkateswara, Lord Ganesha or the family deity.
- Families — names of the parents and the Pellikuthuru (bride) and Pellikoduku (groom), usually with Chi. La. Sow. and Chi. prefixes.
- Sumuhurtham — date, day and the auspicious time fixed by the family priest, sometimes with nakshatra and lagnam details.
- Kalyana Mandapam — the wedding hall name and address; send a Google Maps link alongside the card for guests travelling from other towns.
- Vindu — dinner or lunch details, followed by the names of the inviting family members.
