02 / EVERYDAY USES

When this tool is useful

Share a diagram

Render a chart or diagram as a PNG to avoid adding JPEG artifacts around fine lines. Choose a resolution suited to where you will display the result.

Prepare document screenshots

Export selected pages for a presentation or support request. PNG is a still image, so readers cannot select the original PDF text.

Keep selected pages as images

Use a page range to make an archive of the pages you need. The ZIP names each image with its source page number.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers about files, output and what this tool can do.

Are the PNG images transparent?

No. PDF pages render with a page background. This tool preserves the rendered appearance rather than extracting individual transparent images.

Why is PNG larger than JPG?

PNG uses lossless compression. For photographs or smaller email attachments, the PDF to JPG tool may create a smaller file.

Can I extract just one embedded photo?

This tool renders whole pages. It does not extract original embedded image files.

Does changing resolution change the source PDF?

No. Resolution affects only exported images. The original document remains unchanged.
