Wedding invitation proofreading checklist before you share
Use this practical checklist to catch names, dates, venue details and formatting issues before sending a wedding invitation.

Check the facts first
Read every name, date, time, venue and phone number against the approved event details. Check morning and evening timings carefully, especially when several functions are involved.
A second reader often catches mistakes that the person who designed the card has stopped noticing.
Review the layout on a phone
Open the final file on a phone and scan it at normal size. Look for clipped names, crowded lines, low contrast text and decorative elements that cover important details.
If the invitation uses two languages, ask a fluent reader to check both versions.
Confirm the version before sending
Use one clearly named final file and archive earlier drafts. Send a test copy to one trusted person before posting it in family groups.
Once you share the invitation, keep the source file ready in case an RSVP contact or venue detail needs an update.
